Accommodation:
Communal Areas
The Sun Room is the largest room in the house and has windows on three sides. The glass fronted gable wall faces down thevalley. Former church pews are fitted around the external walls and a large oak dining table sits in one corner. The room has under floor heating and a wood-burning stove. This multi purpose room is the focal point of the house and an ideal place for everyone to come together and to relax.
Dining
Also opening off the sun room and connecting to the hall, is a large well-equipped Dining Kitchen. The cooker is a modern Aga with 6 gas burners and four electric ovens. Other fittings include an American style side-by-side fridge-freezer, a microwave oven and another large oak table. The kitchen can be used for dining itself, or the triple doors opening into the sun room can be opened to create a much larger kitchen/dining area. For special occasions both tables can be extended and placed together in the Sun Room to create one 6.5m table fit for a banquet.
The Utility Room opens off the mid point of the hall. It contains some storage space, a second fridge, a washing machine and a pulley for drying clothes.
Sauna
The latest addition to the house is an 8 person Sauna. It is located close to the garage and can be accessed from the rear of the house or via one of the upstairs bedrooms. It is a “Steam Sauna”, which operates at a higher humidity to most saunas (about 70%) but at a lower temperature (around 70’) The sauna can be booked separately and can be set to come on at a pre-set time each day.
Bedrooms
The house has three double bedrooms and two Family rooms. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and wardrobe space. The Family Rooms each have Super King Double beds, a set of bunk beds and a futon. The Super King beds can be split into single beds if required and sufficient notice is given. The three other bedrooms have King size beds.
